About Us

Hi there, and welcome to our blog!  We started Miles Apart, Close at Heart in October of 2012.  While we have lived relatively close for years, our lives are headed in different directions.  Thus, we decided to start this blog not only to stay in touch with each other, but to share our thoughts, comments, ideas, etc., about some of our favorite hobbies and interests with the Internet world.  Although we will be sharing bits and pieces of our lives, we do wish to keep our personal lives as private as we can.  Thus, we have each given ourselves new names to use for our blog.  For those who know us, please refer to our aliases when leaving comments.

About Verona

Verona is the older sister.  She is happily married to the man of her dreams, and together they have a beautiful boy (who we all love to pieces)!  She balances life as a stay-at-home mom, while maintaing a successful career as an independent beauty consultant with Mary Kay Cosmetics.  Verona has traveled parts of the world, and is especially fond of Paris, France.  

About Phoenix

Phoenix, of course, is the younger sister.  She is currently enjoying her twenties and figuring out her career path!  With a degree in Business Management, the career opportunities are endless.  She is obsessed with cats and has a little ball of fur named Mocha.  Oh, and she loves coffee! ;)
